WTF?!!!!

I went to google.com and searched "Paris Hilton Hotel Video" just to see if blatherreview.mu.nu would show up on the list. I didn't even click on any of the links and yet, when I got back to my front page I saw that the word "Nude" my most post below was highlighted with a link to some porn site!

So I logged into the mu.nu home base, and there was no html link there. So I had to delete the word "Nude."

But now I've got links on my IE browser to three (3) different Paris Hilton movie sites! I brought up my Desktop and there were several icons linking to Paris Hilton sites!! WTF?!!!!!!

So I deleted those,a nd emptied the recycle bin. Went into My Computer and deleted all my Temporary Internet Files, the Temp file (which had two files that were created today but I had no idea what they were), and two unknown Downloaded Programs.

Also, my Juno homepage has been replaced with something called spidersearch.com. I went to Control Panel and replaced it with juno.com again, but everytime I open the IE browser spidersearch.com is back! WTF?!!!!!!

I finally got the browser to open with newsmax.com as the homepage, but after a few seconds I get the "This program has committed an illegal operation yadda yadda and will be shut down" window!! I can't use my Internet Explorer!!
WTF?!!!!

I already did a Start-Shut Down-Restart, so I'm guessing that if I just hit the reset button everything will still be there. Does anybody know how I can return the browser/'puter to the way it was an hour ago?

Man. *sigh* WTF?!!!!!

UPDATE: I went further into the guts fo My Computer and deleted all my cookies and some other suspicious crap. Still have those Paris Hilton links on my brower, and still can't go anywhere because of the "illegal Operation" crud.
Maybe I just need to uninstall IE and then go to microsoft.com and download it anew.

UPDATE 2 Su-sie! Su-sie! Su-sie!
I went to the link she left in the comments and removed a couple of "dangerous programs"! One was called "Gator", and there were two others I don't remember. The Paris Hilton links are gone from Internet Explorer, and I can use it without getting the "illegal operation" shutdown!
All hail Susie; the First Lady of Munuvia! Yay!!!

Spork: What OS are you using? If you are using XP you can doa system restore to a previous point to get rid of whatever crap was installed today. Otherwise, the best bet is to do a restore if you have done any recent backups!

Fucking spyware pr0n fuckhead cocksuckers!

Quit doing all that shit for the Google Monster, Dickhead!

Instead, put SiteMeter code on all your Archive pages: Individual, Category and Monthly. That way all your page views will be counted. That won't help the ecosystem ratings which are based on links but yout traffic counts will go way up.

Also, enter all the contests eg Hunting of the Snark (best one for traffic), Bonfire of the Vanities, Carnival of the Vanities, King of the Blogs writing contest (if you are not a large mammal), Tales From The Champagne Room (Madfish Willie's). Those things will increase your linkage and traffic.

Your writing is great, I enjoy it anyway, but I'm kind all fucked up, so I don't know if that really means anything...

Thanks, Bartender! I've heard of Bonfire and Carnival, but don't really know what they're all about. I've never heard of Hunting Of The Snark or King Of The Blogs.
As for The Champagne Room: I started a post (in wordpad) about my First Time (still ahve it saved in My Documents), but I don't it's very interesting. It was a game of Quarters during my Freshman year in college. Being the one that hated the taste of beer, everyone pointed to me all night. I got trashed, but didn't do anything too humiliating; just pulled all my housemates' mattress's off of their boxsprings while they were trying to sleep. Hehheh. Morning brought a day of pure headache hell.

Oh, I'm on Windows 98, and don't know what "backing up yer files" even means. But, like I said in the Update: I suppose I can uninstall IE and reinstall it fresh.

Sounds to me like you got spyware! Go to http://www.spywareguide.com/txt_onlinescan.html and get their free scan; it will also remove any spyware or adware it finds!

Yay! Always glad to help!

Yeah, Gator is pure evil. But you can't call it "Spyware" or they'll sue you. So just call it an evil piece of shit.

Another thing with XP...make sure you have the Internet Firewall enabled. In their typical fuck-wittedness, Microsoft originally shipped the OS with the firewall DISabled. After all, Microsoft products are so secure...

[cough! cough!]

Good luck with the cleanup!

Thanks for the links, Zonker! And, luckily, I guess, I'm not using XP...still on 98. All seems to be well so far [knock formica].
